THE LONDON ROTARY DISTRICT 1130 DRAGON BOAT FESTIVAL
Building on the success of the 2010 event we are organising the next Dragon Boat race on 15th May 2011 (Sunday) to enable Rotary Clubs and various Organisations to raise funds for their own chosen charities. The event will last from approx. 10am-3pm on a Sunday and includes several legs/rounds of racing, while there will be food and drink, (to buy or bring your own), a raffle, and entertainment especially for children. Parking for about 150 cars (at a cost yet to be decided).
The entry fee is £450 but for applications received before certain dates a reduced fee is applicable. A £75.00 deposit secures a place. Please see the tab at the foot of this page for more details and a registration form.
Boat Crews are normally limited to 18 rowers and one drummer (not essential) . If you are short of rowers and would like to join another crew, please contact Tony Sharma, Chairman, the 2011 Dragonboat Event Committee.
There will be space available for stalls for you to sell goods or promote your charity etc (subject to the Committee's approval) and the cost will be announced later. If you want to take a stall, you will need to book it.
FIRST COME - FIRST SERVED BASIS & SUBJECT TO APPROVAL
